A two time Olympian and a world-renowned athlete who brought pride and glory to the Philippines during the 80’s and early 90’s Southeast Asian Games. A recipient of the prestigious Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Award in Sports, he has likewise received various awards and recognitions for his achievements. Having proven his worth as a national athlete, he was appointed as Chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC). A dynamic and no-nonsense bureaucrat, he gained the trust and confidence of the private sector, Ayala Corporation and San Miguel Corporation to name a few, to support his programs for our national athletes during his stint at the PSC, were our country also had its best performance in the Asian games. Having proven his mettle at the PSC, he was appointed as Chairman of the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. In addition, during his stint as GAB Chairman, he formulated and implemented various rules, regulations and programs to ensure that the mandate of GAB to develop world-class professional Filipino athletes is fulfilled.

With Rexman’s vast logistics capability and Mr. San Pedro’s clear and persuasive communication skill, he was able to supply the demands of the so-called modern retail outlets, like SM Malls, Robinson’s Malls just to name a few. A licensed Real Estate Broker, a three term Representative/Congresswoman from the First District of Batangas, and daughter of former Executive Secretary Eduardo R. Ermita, Ms. Ermita-Buhain was also a former member of the House of Representatives contingent in the Commission on Appointments, which is responsible for the appointment/confirmation of Heads of the governments Executive Department, other Public Ministers and Consuls, Officers of the AFP, Chairman and Commissioners of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Commission on Audit (COA) and the Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Backed by an extensive work experience in the government sector, she was responsible for the various infrastructure support programs in the First District of Batangas to ensure its growth and economic competitiveness. She was likewise responsible in facilitating the opening of Barefootwear, Inc., sole distributor of Vibram Fingers in the Philippines, in the different shopping malls in Metro Manila. Moreover, as chief financial officer, she is now responsible for strategic financial decisions to ensure the company’s growth.
